"Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday
at the Methodist church for Mabel L. Balder, 79,
long-time Southfork resident. She passed away October 28 at West Park County Hospital.
The Rev. W. B. Corlett officiated, with burial at Riverside.
"Born March 19, 1889, at Alma City, Minn.,
she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Larrabee. She married
Reuben L. Balder in Billings July 7, 1915.
They moved from there to Fromberg, where she lived until 1943, when she moved here to live with a
daughter, Mrs. Everett Dixon, on the Southfork.
"Survivors include a son, Bernard of Beatty,
Nevada, a daughter, Mrs. Everett Dixon, of Cody, four grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren."
