FATAL ACCIDENT
As we go to press the sad news reaches us that Gilbert Stimmler,
a son of Geo. L. Stimmler, was fatally injured near Foley, by the overturning of his car yesterday forenoon.
Young Stimmler left town yesterday about 10 o'clock on a hunting trip accompanied by Francis Strand.
When near Foley the car skidded throwing them both out and a loaded gun in the car was discharged, the charge entering Stimmler's side causing his death shortly after he
reached Foley, being taken there soon after the accident occurred. He would have been 21 years old in May.

_______________
One or two errors got into our account of the Gilbert Stimmler accident last week. It appears that they
had arrived in Foley and stopped in front of his uncle's (Tony Stimmler's) garage. When Gilbert got out of the car he pulled the gun toward him, it got
caught in the seat robes and was discharged, the charge entering his side. He was taken to his uncle's and died in about an hour.
The body was brought home the same day and the funeral took place last Saturday morning from the Catholic church, Father Gundermann officiating.
The burial was in the church cemetery.
The sympathy of the entire community is extended to the grief-stricken family.
